Feels great to be back in London. Better yet, fall is here! Changing leaves, cooler (jacket) weather, and a good excuse for red wine and hot drinks.
Today was the last day in Berlin. Now back in London for another month before heading off to San Francisco in November.
Hump day! Can't believe it's nearing 2-weeks in Berlin already. Enjoying each day, doing as much as possible to take it all in before heading back to London Sunday.
Over the years I've been trying to get a piece of jewelry from places that have a big meaning to me. Excited to have gotten a new ring today for Berlin from SCUDERI.
Spent Monday going coffee shop to coffee shop. A great start to the week!
Spent much of the day around the Flea Market at Mauerpark and the amazing Karaoke that goes with it. Along the way, various artists were leaving their mark on the wall beside the park, including a father-son duo. Sunday.
Saturday: roaming around, stopping in little shops, reading with coffee, and eating waffles.
Jumping between cafes today. The independent coffee culture in Berlin is amazing.
Found a great go-to cocktail bar in Prenzlauer Berg. Second visit tonight, my Airbnb host, Vincent and I went for a few drinks. Wednesday.
Today was a coffee shop kind of day; jumping between a few throughout the afternoon.
Non-related note: Cooked my first meal since getting to Berlin. Super grateful to be in an Airbnb that enables me to cook; I think it'd be hard to find a budget-friendly way of visiting a city without a means of cooking.
Spent the evening yesterday exploring the area in Berlin I lived 3-years ago now. Was amazing seeing what's still here, like an old light repair shop, where I went to get my groceries each day, and even the place I got my hair cut. It's also fun to see what's missing; a favorite cafe and regular corner shop. It's good to be back.
Arrived in Berlin yesterday after a long day at Gatwick. Excited to be back in my old neighborhood!
Really enjoy cooking with just a few ingredients. Tonight: tomatoes, green beans and garlic fried noodles.
Finding myself wandering out to Powder Keg after working to read and enjoy the great atmosphere (and fantastic cocktail menu). Nearing the end of WILD.
Incredible to see the area around Clapham at rush hour. So many people going so many places.
Excited to be heading to Berlin in less than a weekLinkedI; Hoping to have a calmer, healthier week before enjoying all that comes with the next two weeks.
A relaxing two-hour brunch reading WILD before finishing Narcos. Such a good, relaxing Sunday.
Rainy London weekend. Great excuse to relax and read Wild before hearing Cheryl Strayed talk next month.
Can't believe I hadn't discovered this place earlier. Phenomenal cocktails!
